Cerro Aspero
The Cerro Aspero or "Hidden People", is located in the interprovincial boundary of San Luis and Córdoba. It is a colony inhabited by 300 workers who were engaged in the extraction of wolframite. Between 1910 and 1920 the Germans moved to San Luis. The plant closed in 1969. To get there, you can hire a guide to take you to the edge of Villa de Merlo Serrano, with a great panoramic view. Then the road becomes gravel and you need a four-wheel drive. At Cerro Aspero, we had to abandon the vehicle and walk for 5 hours approx. The surroundings are ideal for hiking enthusiasts. We ate noodles in a small restaurant.
