Central Library

The Public Library in Castries is located in the city centre, opposite Derek Walcott Square . The building is two stories high which calls attention to itself and was built in the late 19th century. It has multiple windows of different shapes and sizes, framed in stone between columns like in Greek architecture. When you walk around the city in the afternoon, when the school children are leaving school, one of the things that caught my eye the most is that most children were heading to the library, so it's very busy.
