Cenotafio Conmemorativo

Entre todos los monumentos conmemorativos que se pueden visitar en el Parque Conmemorativo de la Paz de Hiroshima, se encuentra este cenotafio que rinde homenaje a los más de 200.000 fallecidos en el estallido de la bomba atómica lanzada sobre la ciudad durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El monumentos los forma una estructura de piedra en la que están grabados los nombres de todas las personas que murieron a causa de la bomba. Sobre ella hay una estructura de cemento con forma de arco. Dicha forma sirve para dar cobijo a las almas de las víctimas. La ubicación de esta estructura hace que cuando alguien se coloca frente a ella vea al fondo, enmarcada por el arco, la estructura de la Cúpula de la Bomba Atómica.

Among all the memorials that can be visited in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, is this cenotaph that pays homage to the more than 200,000 people killed in the outbreak of the atomic bomb dropped on the city during the Second World War. The monuments are formed by a stone structure in which are engraved the names of all the people who died because of the bomb. Above it there is a cement structure with an arch shape. This form serves to shelter the souls of the victims. The location of this structure means that when someone is placed in front of it, see at the bottom, framed by the arch, the structure of the Dome of the Atomic Bomb.
