Cayo Levisa
Cayo Levisa is an absolute marvel. At 8 in the morning a bus picked us up in Viñales, took us to the pier (after a one-hour drive) where we took the boat for half an hour to Cayo Levisa. The welcome was a bit touristy, but first impressions are deceiving, because in reality it was all wild and relaxed (at least it was in 2007, when I went). In short, we had a great day at the beach, which was not at all overcrowded. It passed in a flash. The plan was strenuous: swinging in hammocks and snorkeling. I saw a super-weird bug, like a chicken with wings and beak ... Anyway, snorkeling we saw many small fish and it was pretty exciting.
At about 5 pm the boat took us back to Viñales ending a perfect day on the beach.
