Cavarretta Palace

Trapani is a city with a lot of charm with more and more tourists. Firstly, it is situated right next to Erice, one of the quintessential tourist spots of Sicily and one that is increasingly important because of its airport. One of the most prominent buildings of the old town of Trapani is the Palace Cavarretta. It is important for 2 reasons: 1st because today it is the town hall and 2nd because its architecture is beautiful. The name of this building comes from Giacomo Cavarretta, a gentleman who commissioned the palace to be built in 1672. The architectural style used was Baroque and over the years they made changes and tweaks to improve it, such as the 2 clocks that are on the sides of the top of the facade, which were added in 1827 .
