When I arrived in Pienza, a flower...
When I arrived in Pienza, a flower festival was in full bloom throughout the historic centre.
Day 3 was shorter. The usual descent followed by a climb up to Monticchello. This is also a well defended and charming hill town. The local ethnographic museum is worth a visit and doubles as the tourist information.
The final section passes the very salubrious looking Terre di Nano and then through the vineyards of Montepulciano.
