Castroagudin Hiking Route

We did this hiking trail in winter, and although its duration is about 4 kilometers, we only did half because the night was so cold. During the day, you can enjoy the splendid mountain scenery, as the route goes along the base of Mount Xiabre, starting from the reservoir Castroagudín. Next, it goes along the old road to Caldas de Reis (C-531) and after advancing 1.5 km, you arrive at the junction that leads to Castrogudín. The route starts from the town square, leading to the Castroagudín reservoir, which takes its water from the Rio do Con. The route continues past beautiful scenery, until Fontefría recreation area.
