Medieval fortress that hosts a varied collection.
The truth surprised me the elegance and balanced design, the well preserved, that is. Its enclave stands out at the top of the hill, its trapezoidal plant with its corners, topped by fortresses, square towers. There is one of them that is the largest, dedicated as a keep. Going up its stairs has its charm, while enjoying, its ornamental details and the shield of the Duke of Lerma. There have been several owners, including the Count of Salvatierra, D Pedro de Ayala. Also the Count of the Farm, D. Juan de Alburquerque and the Ducal House of Alba in order, in turn prominent guests enjoyed the castle as King Ferdinand the Catholic and Charles V.
