If you are looking for a reason to visit Sanabria, the old town is it. Throughout its steep streets you can admire wonderfully preserved medieval buildings which are normally two-storey houses with stone and flower-filled balconies. They are simply beautiful and certainly an example of conservation. The historic medieval castle dates back to the fifteenth century and is at the top of the city and from there you can see great views of the city and its surroundings.
