Hotel Casa Don Fernando

We were taken by Hotel Casa Don Fernando from the very first instant. First of all, it’s located in the heart of Cáceres, near Plaza Mayor (in one of Spain’s most beautiful historic districts) and we were really wowed by the wonderful decoration and service.

The rooms are comfy and quiet and the bathrooms are large. They offer family rooms which are perfect for couples with kids. One of them is in a cute attic room with a wood-slat ceiling. There is free wi-fi in all the rooms and it runs with a code you need to renew every hour. There isn’t a restaurant but there is a colorful tapas bar where you can try all kinds of well-prepared snacks.

Honestly, I didn’t have too much time to enjoy this hotel. However, the impression I got was very good.

The best part, without a doubt, is the location. It’s right in the main square in Cáceres and has views of the historic district (the best part of the city) and you can go walking to all the main sights in town.

The rooms are large and comfy and the service is perfect…they really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. It’s a great place to get some rest if you’re looking for something centric that offers a good value for your money.

In the middle square of Caceres, this three star hotel has a modern decor, with rooms that mostly have balconies overlooking the plaza. The staff is very attentive and has a cafeteria with tapas and a library with a rich collection of books on Extremadura.

This hotel is located near Plaza Mayor in the center of town. My room was spacious, cute, and clean. The bathroom was also very big and very clean, and was separated from the room by a glass door.

The location is unbeatable if you want to visit Cáceres’ old town which, I must admit, was very beautiful.
