Casa de la Cultura

Situada junto al [poi=2178631]Parque Centro[/poi], la Casa de Cultura de Alcalá de Guadaíra alberga varios espacios para el fomento y la divulgación de la cultura de la ciudad, como: un salón de actos, salas de reuniones, salas de exposiciones, sala de lectura, la biblioteca sucursal, y un bonito patio interior recientemente techado con una cristalera que deja pasar la luz natural, apto para todo tipo de eventos. Alberga también la sede central del servicio de Cultura del [poi=2178442]Ayuntamiento[/poi], así como las concejalías de Juventud, Fiestas Mayores; y la Universidad Popular. Se trata de un edificio histórico diseñado por el arquitecto sevillano Juan Talavera y Heredia, que anteriormente había servido de matadero municipal.

Located next to Central Park, the House of Culture in Alcalá de Guadaíra offers several spaces for the promotion and dissemination of the culture of the city, such as an auditorium, meeting rooms, exhibition halls, reading room, the branch library, and a beautiful courtyard with a glass roof recently that lets in natural light, suitable for all types of events. It also houses the headquarters of the Service of Culture Department and the Department of Youth, Major Festivals, and the VHS. It is a historic building designed by architect Juan Talavera Heredia Seville, who had previously served as municipal slaughterhouse.
