Beautiful landscapes
The pond is part of the beautiful landscaped which is at the gardens of Casa da Insua an eighteenth-century Baroque palace that has now been converted into a luxury hotel with five-star and a lot of charm. The gardens we found when we went to this town are about 25 km from Viseu and they have a French style with plenty of compact myrtles planted in the nineteenth century, with geometric shapes and a pond right next to a sundial. Around it is the rare "lotus flower" from India, and a magnolia, and several ancient camellias. Under the terrace of this large manor house, in the gardens, is the water lily pond and a few white swans as you can see in the picture, these swans seemed used to people, because what one swan approached me and seemed to like to "be posing" for the photo. So yeah, we have come to the conclusions that this swan would make a very good model, with great posing!
