Sandy beach on the Azahar Coast
Alcoceber was a small fisherman's town not too long ago. However, it currently is much better known as a tourist destination along the Azahar coast due to its coves and beaches, including Carregador Beach.
This is the longest beach in Alcossebre and the closest to town. I think it’s the best beach in the area.
This sandy beach provides swimmers with all types of services: boardwalks, showers, swings for kids, hammock, umbrellas, beach volleyball courts, and a Red Cross station
It isn’t over crowded, in contrast to many of the beach on the Mediterranean coast. This is due to the the buildings (hotels and apartments) that lie along the beach. They’re not skyscrapers, just normal buildings. Their only three or four stories tall and can’t house a ton of tourists. This means, that even during high season, you’ll be able to find a place to plop your towel down on the beach. In July or September there’s maybe three or four rows of people from the water, with plenty of space for more. It’s nice and peaceful.
