In Scotland Bed & Breakfasts are an institution, they are scattered around and offer great accommodation and adapted to almost all types of pockets. No reservation was required in any of the ones we stayed in and they had a great value for money. One of the nicest and most enjoyable was in the Cairngorms National Park in Glenmore Forest Park, on the B970 coming out of the town of Aviemore, up to Loch Morlich. Its owner, Carol, is a very nice Scottish woman (a common feature in all the Scots), she is highly educated has traveled around the world, as can be seen by the "library" of guide books in her lovely home.
