Carlos Alberto´s Chapel

Hidden amongst the greenery of the Crystal Palace Park is this small chapel built in honor of Charles Albert, King of Sardinia. After being defeated by the Austrian army at the Battle of Novara, he gave up his thrown to his son Victor Emmanuel and went into exile in Porto, where he later died at the Quinta das Macieiras.
