Carlisle City
In the historic center of the city stands this cathedral built in red stone. It was founded in the twelfth century as an Augustinian monastery but later, with religious reform was named the Anglican Cathedral. Although the start was built in a Norman style, it was completed in an English Gothic style. In perfect condition and fully operational, the caterdral is undoubtedly one of the major attractions of the historic city. Its interior ceilings are original, made of polychrome wood. Outwardly, it is not too big and has a single tower, which is rather sober. One of the places not to miss in Carlisle.
