Grace Anderson
Captain Cook Hotel
This hotel is a famous monument in Anchorage, because it was one of the first luxury hotels in the city. The name comes from Captain James Cook who passed through this area during the 18th century. The hotel has two towers and 4 restaurants which are all really good, the best being the Crow's Nest which is situated in the tallest tower and has lovely views of the city. There is a gym in the basement with a swimming pool. Throughout the hotel, there are many beautiful pieces of art on the walls and the decoration and furnishing is elegant and simple.
