Chapel of the Castle
At the top of a small hill that serves as a excellent viewpoint, lies this shrine of Our Lady of the Assumption built in the sixteenth century by order of D. Luis de Silveira. It has Manueline style and has undergone several transformations. Inside is an image of Our Lady of Fatima which is used every year in the procession of candles. It's said that the chapel was built with ancient materials of a fortress that was here, hence its name. Don't miss this climb to the chapel and the panoramic views of the villa de Gois, Ceira and its river and mountains.
