Museo Marítimo del Cantábrico

This is so much more than an aquarium. In its 3,000 square metres of exhibitions, as well as the usual sharks (there are just small sharks here, 1 or 2 metres long, no Great Whites) and so on, it tells the history of all the ways in which man has been linked to the sea - to fish, to navigate, and discover new worlds, enjoy the landscape, study scientifically, and even surf. Inside the museum you can see reconstructions of ancient ship's cabins, control rooms from modern ships, etc. There are several aquariums where you can admire different marine species, and even the skeleton of a whale on the door from the entrance to the MMC (as is also known).
