Canal Grande

Asse d'acqua del borgo teresiano, il Canal Grande è uno dei luoghi più pittoreschi di Trieste. Si tratta di un canale, attraversato anche da un ponte (su cui è stata collocata la statua di Joyce), che da un lato arriva fin sulle rive e dall'altra sfocia di fronte alla Chiesa di S. Antonio Nuovo. Ai lati numerosi edifici di interesse, in primis lo splendido tempio di San Spiridione e Palazzo Gopcevich. Il canale è molto suggestivo anche perché al suok interno sono attraccate numerose barchette colorate. Nelle giornate di sole, poi, i palazzi e le barche si riflettono nell'acqua, creando un gioco di luce spettacolare. E' decisamente uno dei luoghi più tipici della città: per ammirarlo ideale è una sosta nei numerosi bar e ristoranti sulle due sponde del canale, meglio ancora d'estate con i tavolini all'aperto.
