La historia moderna de Amposta está vinculada a la creación del magnífico canal del margen derecho. Esta infraestructura dio movimiento a los molinos arooceros que se instalaron en la ciudad y que constituyeron el motor económico y de despegue de la ciudad.
Puedes pasear a su lado en varios tramos, el más interesante se sitúa al final de la calle Fossat junto donde comienza la zona del castillo y alrededores.
El conjunto del antiguo molino, las murallas y las casas que se superponen es de lo mejor de Amposta.
Son 52 kilómetros lo que recorre un canal que llena de vida los campos de cultivo de las Terres de l'Ebre.
The modern history of Amposta is linked to the creation of the magnificent canal on the right bank. This infrastructure gave movement to the arooceros mills that were installed in the city and that constituted the economic and takeoff engine of the city. You can walk next to it in several sections, the most interesting one is situated at the end of the street Fossat next where begins the zone of the castle and surroundings. The whole of the old mill, the walls and the houses that overlap is the best of Amposta. It is 52 kilometers which runs along a canal that fills the Terres de l"Ebre farming fields with life.
