Camping Las Cañadas

El camping está situado justo al lado del Embalse de Baños en un pequeño valle con vistas a la sierra. Se puede visitar andando el embalse o coger el coche para ver alguno de los pueblos cercanos que son muy interesantes. Lo más cercano es Hervás con su barrio judío y múltiples rutas de senderismo entre las que recomiendo la ruta de La Chorrera, no apta para principiantes pero muy bonita sin duda. A algunos kilómetros más podemos ver Segura de Toro, un pueblecito donde destaca la estatua que le da nombre y una bonita ruta por los grandes castaños. También se puede visitar Béjar, Granadilla, Candelario o La Covatilla. El camping está muy bien cuidado, nosotros estuvimos en un bungalow para 2-3 personas muy pequeño pero con todo lo necesario, salvo quizá aire acondicionado (que no usamos porque era invierno). Disponen de minisupermercado, restaurante con buenos precios, piscina y pistas deportivas (que hay que alquilar).

The campsite is located right next to the reservoir pool in a small valley with mountain views. You can visit the dam walk or take the car to see some of the nearby villages that are very interesting. The closest is Hervás with Jewish and many walking routes between the route I recommend La Chorrera, not suitable for beginners but very nice indeed. A few miles we can see Segura de Toro, a village where stands the statue that gives the name and a nice big brown route. You can also visit Bejar, Granadilla, Candelario or Covatilla. The campground is well maintained, we stayed in a bungalow for 2-3 persons very small but with everything you need, except perhaps air conditioning (we did not use because it was winter). They have mini market, restaurant with good prices, swimming pool and sports courts (to be rented).
