Strolling through the old town
One of the places I liked in Baden Baden was this steep "alley" leading from the Marktplatz to Jesuitenplatz. It's part of the historical tour of the old town that contains the imposing Bismarck statue by sculptor Oskar Alexander Kiefer, who designed the "Iron Chancellor", imitating a medieval statue. The streets around this alley are beautiful, with pastel colored houses and virtually no traffic. We found the elegant Town Hall and at the end of a staircase that runs along the alley is the lively and pedestrian Jesuit Square where everyone was photographing the balls that surround the interesting central fountain.
