4 reviews of Californian State Capitol

A very nice area

The Capitol Park is a very nice area in downtown Sacramento. The park has different plots: A rose garden, several memorials (the memorial to the Vietnam War is particularly worth seeing), a corner of succulents / cacti, a miniature replica of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia ... There are different species of trees from all over the world, many oranges and of course the palm trees that you'll find everywhere you go in California!

Steeped in history

A magnificent monument in an imposing neo-classical style, the capitol of Sacramento is a place steeped in history where you can learn more about the history of the city, about California, and about the United States in general. Inside you can find mid-twentieth century politicians' offices still intact, with sculptures and paintings. Admission is free, and you can visit between 9 and 5 both weekdays and weekends.
