Caleta Tumbes

Una tarde de verano en Chile, invierno en España, salimos rumbo a la caleta de Tumbes, ubicada justo al lado de Talcahuano, VIII región Chile. Hermoso y pintoresco lugar de casa bajas cuyos colores resaltaban al caminar por la única calle central que tenía esta caleta y otras se perdían entre las faldas del cerro. Aquel día el mar estaba tranquilo luciendo en sus orillas númerosas y coloridas embarcaciones ulitilizadas para la pesca artesanal. Tal vez, aquel día lo único que podía perturbar la tranquilidad de las aguas, era para nuestra sorpresa una linda foca que iba y venia. Adentrarse por esta pequeña caleta parecía trasladarte a otra época. Tritemente hoy en día sus colores se han teñido de gris, pero muy pronto volverán a lucir con mas fuerza que antes.

One summer evening in Chile, winter in Spain, we headed to the creek of Tumbes, located just off Talcahuano, Chile Region VIII. Caleta Tumbes, lugar algo escondido ya que se ubica entre cerros y bosques, además de poseer terrenos militares vecinos que son de restringido acceso. Es una caleta de un encanto exquisito... casas muy bien cuidadas, buena gastronomía, ambiente, etc.. Un mar lleno de embarcaciones de pescadores y frente a ella la Isla Quiriquina. Se llega a este rincón desde Talcahuano, pudiendo tomar una locomoción colectiva o en vehículo particular, el camino es completamente pavimentado.

A una hora de Concepción se ubica la caleta Tumbes. Para llegar aquí se debe tomar locomoción hasta Talcahuano y luego, desde el puerto, subir a otro bus para arribar al bello lugar, pasando por las instalaciones de la base naval y recorriendo el sector de las canchas. Un largo viaje si se realiza en locomoción colectiva, pero que vale la pena pues permite apreciar desde los cerros gran cantidad de embarcaciones y por supuesto el acorazado Huáscar, para posteriormente llegar a un pintoresco y enriquecer sitio. Tumbes es un lugar que comprende tres caletas, las cuales se distribuyen desde la calle principal, donde destacan sus diversos restaurantes con toda clase de platos marinos, además de su amplia playa junto a sus más de 40 embarcaciones y un centenar de pequeños botes que adornan la extensa bahía y que se encargan de realizar la pesca artesanal, principal labor de los habitantes del lugar, lo cual constituye su principal sustento diario.

Próximo a Concepcion fica Talcahuano, uma simpática cidade litorânea no Chile. Sede de uma base militar e praticamente todas as saídas para o mar com propriedades particulares, não se tem muito o que fazer a não ser conhecer a Caleta Tumbes. A vila de pescadores é linda! Uma pequena praia com águas geladas do Pacífico, pequena faixa de areia e muitos, muitos barcos em construção e reforma. Delicie um maravilhoso caranguejo na praia ou almoce em um dos pequenos restaurantes da vila. Espere os pescadores chegar do mar com moluscos, crustáceos e peixes totalmente diferentes que encontramos aqui no Brasil. E o principal: curta as paisagens!

Talcahuano near Concepcion is a friendly seaside town in Chile. Home to a military base and virtually all exits to the sea with private property, do not have much to do but know Caleta Tumbes. Caleta reconocida por la novela santo ladrón. Es pequeña y repleta de restaurantes y un muelle muy bonito donde se aprecia la isla quiriquina. Se puede disfrutar todo tipo de mariscos frescos y ferias.

Es un gran lugar para salir en familia, aunque la calle principal es muy angosta y difícil de transitar en vehículo, pero en general ¡todo bien!
