Caledonian Backpackers Hostel

Situado cerca del castillo, está este hostel, famoso por todos los mochileros. El hostel consta de 2 plantas y está en un bonito edificio de esta ciudad. Tiene variedad de habitaciones, desde privadas, hasta de 38 camas. Yo me alojé en la de 38 camas y pueden verla en las fotos. El problema es que los candados no cierran, solo están para que la gente sepa que está ocupada la taquilla, a pesar de ello no tuve ningún problema de robos ni nada. La habitación de 38 vale 10 € la noche y te entra un desayuno, que consta de cereales con leche o tostadas, y un zumo de naranja tipo Tang, bastante malo. Triste, pero todo gratis. También hay internet gratuito, los ordenadores te los dejan. El bar cierra a las 5 de la mañana y te sirven cervezas y chupitos bastante baratos. En él hay una wii y 2 mesas de billar. Los lavabos están decentes, y hay 2 duchas de agua caliente. A pesar de solo haber 2,siempre estaban libres a pesar de la cantidad de gente que se aloja allí, así que supongo que eran bastante guarreras :)

Located near the castle, this hostel is famous for all backpackers. The hostel has 2 floors and is in a beautiful building in this city. It has variety of rooms from private up to 38 beds. I stayed at the of 38 beds and can see it in the photos. The problem is that the locks do not close, they're just so people know you are busy box office, though it did not have any problem with theft or anything. The room of 38 is worth 10 € the night and enters a breakfast, consisting of cereal with milk or toast and orange juice like Tang, pretty bad. Sad, but all free. There is also free internet, computers will let them. The bar closes at 5 in the morning and serve you fairly cheap beer and shots. In it is a wii and 2 pool tables. The restrooms are decent, and there are 2 hot water showers. Despite only having 2 were always free despite the amount of people staying there, so I guess they were pretty guarreras :)

J'ai passé une nuit dans cette auberge et je l'ai trouvée super !! Les murs sont décorés à la main par des artistes, très jolis. Il y a une salle commune avec bibliothèque, jeux de société, jeux vidéo... Je n'avais pas payé cher cette auberge, c'était l'une des moins chères que j'avais trouvé à Edimbourg, et pour ce prix là je ne m'attendais vraiment pas à cela ! J'ai été très agréablement surprise, même si je n'ai pas profité à fond de l'auberge bien entendu car c'était seulement une nuit et il y avait Edinmbourg à visiter ;) Mais pour ceux qui restent un peu plus longtemps, je pense que ça peut leur faire plaisir ! Les locaux sont propres. Le petit-déjeuner était inclus dans le prix , il y avait du choix, c'était bon - là aussi agréablement surprise par rapport au prix que j'ai payé pour cette auberge. En plus elle est centrale et très pratique.

I spent one night in this hostel and I find great !! The walls are hand decors by artists, very pretty. There is a common room with library, society games, video games ... I did not pay dearly for this inn, c'tait chres least one of which I found Edinburgh, and for that price I l really did not expect this! I have been very pleasantly surprised, even though I did not melt benefit from the inn because c'tait course only one night and there was Edinmbourg visit;) But for those who stay a little longer, I think that may make them happy! The facilities are clean. The lunch buffet was included, there was the choice c'tait good - the so pleasantly surprised considering the price I pay for this hostel. In addition it is central and very convenient.

C'est effectivement une très bonne adresse pour un court séjour à Edimbourg, pour un bon rapport qualité-prix. La qualité est là : Les dortoirs sont propres (tout comme les salles de bains) et confortables. En plus, vous êtes idéalement situé en plein dans le centre. Personnellement, je l'ai utilisé quand je suis allé voir un concert à Edimbourg. On est rentré tard (pas de couvre feu) et on n'a pas été déçu. Profitez-en pour prendre sur place, la carte Yousth Hostels qui liste l'ensemble des auberges de jeunesses d'Ecosse, et permet d'avoir des réductions.

This is actually a very good place for a short Edinburgh living room, for a good quality-price ratio. The quality is: The dorms are clean (like bathrooms) and comfortable. In addition, you are ideally situated right in the center. Personally, I used when I went to see a concert in Edinburgh. We rentr later (no curfew) and no t. Le Caledonian Backpackers est une auberge de jeunesse avec une bonne ambiance. Il se trouve dans le centre d’Edimbourg, rue Queensferry. Il ouvre 24 heures sur 24 donc pas besoin de se soucier du couvre feu si on veut sortir le soir. Si on arrive en ville comme beaucoup d’étudiants Erasmus en recherche d’un endroit où passer la première semaine en attendant de trouver un appart, l’auberge propose un prix a la semaine de 55 pounds, soit environ 80 euros, qui n’est pas trop cher pour rester dans un hotel. Ensuite les prix varient selon le nombre de personnes qui partagent la chambre, entre 20 et 12 pounds par nuit. C’est a cinq minutes a pied de la gare des trains, et en passant par une rue plate, il n’y a pas besoin de monter l’une des nombreuses collines de la ville. Le prix inclut les draps et les couvertures, mais pas les serviettes de bain. Au rez de chaussé il y a quelques salles communes avec une télé, des ordis avec internet et un service de laverie. Il y a aussi un bar qui ouvre jusque tard, mais que l’on entend pas depuis les chambres.

This is five minutes walk from the train station, and going through a flat street, there's no need to climb one of the many hills of the city. The price includes sheets and blankets but not the towels. On the ground carriageway there are some common rooms with a tl, of ordis with internet and laundry service. There is also a bar that opens late, but lon not hear from the rooms.
