Cake's

What a charming place! It's popular and full of old ladies willing to sweeten life! Cake's is famous in Montevideo for it's cakes and sweets that are a delight and the portions are so generous that it is best to share. There's a variety of teas, juices, and Italian cappuccino, and served in a crystal glass that I'd recommend. For €10 we had a stupendous meringue, caramel and dark chocolate cake, a couple of coffees and mineral water. Not cheap, but Montevideo is an expensive city. Also if you go on a Thursday, there is a fashion show (fashion for mature age bracket) and then do a mixed raffle with cosmetics, kitchenware, plants, and even a trip.
