1 review of Cafe Mauresque

A nice cafe

Nestled in the heart of the economic and tourist center of the city, in the pedestrian area around the cathedral, lost in the corner of the pretty Butchery Lane, Cafe Mauresque is one of my favorite places in Canterbury. There is indeed a bit of scenery, and it suddenly feels very far from the traditional English fish & chips ... What happiness! Here one can opt for an excellent tagine with chicken, lemon and olives (about 12 pounds), duck or salmon, or a very hearty couscous (12 to 13 pounds). At noon, there is an interesting menu at 5-8 pounds, where we had couscous with chicken and sausages and sat on the shaded terrace.

A real good place for a complete change.
