Beignet, done that!
"Beignet, done that!" is the slogan of Cafe Beignet in New Orleans, which is considered an unmissable tourist point on your trip to the city. And it's true ... as you walk down Bourbon Street, surrounded by rock'n'roll nightclubs and bars, this iconic building suddenly appears out of nowhere. You'll recognize it by the three statues of musical icons outside: Fats Domino, Al Hirt and Pete Fountain. Past them is the "park of music legends", which is so tiny it's barely worthy of the name.
In Cafe Beignet you can listen live to one of the best jazz bands in New Orleans, the Steamboat Willie Jazz Band, sometimes accompanied on their jams by members of the public.
