Creative twist
In the most central area of East Boldon, there is the Indian restaurant called Café Bangla. It excels in the area because of its friendly service and creative twist of most Indian dishes. You can try the Tika Massala chicken or lamb. Its owner and chef has extensive experience in the culinary world, having worked for many years in Inverness as the head chef in the area's most renowned Indian and Pakistani restaurants. As he told us, he likes to merge different styles to deliver a new menu. Basically the merger combines Pakistani and Hindu, with some Mediterranean touches. We offered to taste one of his own creations, the translation would be "Boneless marinated chicken", which was delicious.
