Beautiful residential village
Cadennabia is a small residential village located on the west arm of Lake Como, whose buildings seem to ride on the back of the foothills of Mount Crocione. This small town can be accessed by the beautiful road along the lake and leaving from the City of Como, or you can take a boat to Bellagio. Cadennabia gradually joins with the Griante community coming to form a valley which has attracted many famous residents such as Verdi, Stendhal, Queen Victoria, Nicholas II of Russia, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Prince Umberto of Savoy or the very Pope Pius XI, in part due to its mild climate and peaceful surroundings. Villa Margarita and Villa Colina, amongst other villas built between the 17th and 19th century stand out here for their beauty.
