Cachoeira do Maromba

Para os amantes da natureza o Parque Nacional do Itatiaia é um paraíso. Com diversos locais, roteiros e programas, não há quem fique desanimado, desde o naturalista ao banhista casual. Estes sempre se deleitam com a Piscina Natural do Maromba, que fica no alto da parte baixa do parque, metros antes da trilha que leva a Cachoeira do Véu da Noiva. A trilha para se chegar a mesma não é aconselhada para quem tem dificuldades de locomoção, sendo que a mesma é feita em uma escada de pedra sendo alguns degraus bem grandes. E mesmo para se chegar a parte preferida dos banhistas a atenção deve ser redobrada ao atravessar sobre as pedras pois as mesmas são bastante irregulares, o que mostra pouco interferência humana. Mas a recompensa vem no mergulho nas águas puras e frias da nascente do Rio Campo Belo. Antes da piscina fica uma estrutura com estacionamento e banheiros, mas em dias de verão ou feriados é bom chegar cedo se quiser estacionar perto da Cachoeira do Maromba, sem se esquecer de que no verão trombas d’água são frequentes, por isso sempre respeite os avisos.
