Traditional fishing village
Between Lagos and Sagres we decided to visit a small town called Burgao, which we had heard still maintained its tradition of being a fishing village. We arrived at a small road and we could see its colourful houses and cobbled steep slopes. Like elsewhere in the Algarve, tourism is everywhere, although in Burgao we can see fishing boats in the beach area. Many traditional houses have been converted into restaurants but keep their charm. On the right, a small beach of sand and stones is the perfect place to enjoy this small stronghold on the typical Algarve coast.
