The beautiful Bundeskanzleramt

The beautiful Bundeskanzleramt is the Federal Chancellery, more commonly known as Kanzleramt, it's the Chancellor's office and the German government. The imperial chancellery was introduced in 1871 in Wilhelmstrasse, on the other side of the Brandenburg Gate in Radziwill Palace. After the Second World War, with the partition of Berlin, the capital of West Germany moved to Bonn, and with it the foreign ministry. After reunification, the government was reinstalled in Berlin and this building was opened in 2001. It was designed by Charlotte Frank, is just behind the German parliament building, it's very modern, 12,000 square meters and is one of the largest parliament buildings in the world (8 times the size of the White House).

Cancillería Alemana

The current building housing the German Chancellery was opened in 2001 and was designed by architects Axel and Frank Schultes. The work was undertaken by a Spanish company and it is one of the largest governmental buildings in the world with an area of ​​over 10,000 square meters. Berliners colloquially refer to the building as the "Kohllosseum", referring to its large size and Helmut Kohl, the former chancellor who promoted its construction.
