Bullfighting Museum of San Roque City

The Bullfighting Museum is located in one of the offices of the Plaza de Toros, housing lots of documentation and photographs of the history of the Plaza de Toro de San Roque, a place that was built in 1853. There is a replica of the famous bronze bull found at the site of Cerro del Prado (Guadarranque) in 1989. We can also see posters on silk and paper, announcing the celebration of bullfights and wonderful costumes which are centuries old and very well preserved. The museum also houses the infirmary where the Mexican right-hander Eduardo Liceaga died after being gored in the Plaza de San Roque in 1946, repeating the same tragedy that happened a century before to the right-hander Mariano Turner.
