Brough (aldea)

Across England from East to West in its northern regions, we decided to stop at a village that was advertised on the A66 road as part of a castle. Once there we discovered a beautiful rural corner of England and, as often happens, a curious history. The village has a Roman fort which led to the market, the castle and the church, which makes the village in the shape of triangle. The castle is at a separate end of the village, which means that there are two distinct areas (acting as rival gangs in many cases): Church Brough and Market Brough (the castle would be in the region of the first). While it is true that the castle is the highlight you can not leave behind the church, founded by the eleventh century Normans it is a real beauty.
