When you visit Brouage, you feel like you've stepped back in time several centuries. Little remains to let you know that it once was a thriving salt port, but this little town retains its ancient walled fortress in perfect condition. It is a fortified city that has quite a few notable buildings inside to speak volumes of its glorious past. Brouage port is one of the most beautiful in France.
