A very good experience
This bar is in front of the Monastery of Our Lady of Monserrate and is run by a friendly lady with easy language (as it the norm when you're out of the big cities). We found it by chance after visiting the monastery, to quench our thirst and relieve our bladder. We ordered vermouth and asked if they had pincho de tortilla. No. Then what do they have to accompany the drink? Pelotillas with cooked or stewed broth - scrumptious. The broth great and, amid a great flavoursome meatball. Where better to eat than is this charming bar, it is very modest but with a good ambience. What else can we eat? Well, tripe, some oxtail - that was a real treat as both were more than delicious and I have never tasted a more wonderful oxtail (and that I've eaten a lot in Cordoba, the birthplace of this dish).
