Brighton Beach

Brighton beach is very long and is around the Brighton Pier, which was reconstructed as amusement park. Brighton is an hour from London by train and is a popular place for Londoners who want to come to spend a day. The richest people go shopping, eat shellfish at the restaurants, while those with a smaller budget take the children to play in the sand and go swimming. Obviously there is an English climate that awaits you and the sea is very cold. But it´s a nice place to run, play sports, tan when the sun is out. When we went there weren´t too many people there, just some large families with all children in the water, but we had some jackets and it was really cold! Along the beach you have dozens of restaurants that serve fish and chips, and the famous Sea Life, a very nice aquarium.

The city is called "London by the Sea".

Happy atmosphere in the summer

Excellent

Brighton beach has a nice happy atmosphere in the summer, although it can get a bit too busy during a heatwave. The water is cold so I would not recommend swimming, unless you are made of sterner stuff than this reviewer. The nice thing is that there is plenty of other things to do while at the beach, including children's activities, the pier, bars and restaurants and sports facilities.

Ah Brighton et ses plages … Que de s...

Ah Brighton et ses plages … Que de souvenirs ! J’y ai passé de belles soirées, l’été de mes 16 ans. Il faut dire qu’à cette époque, je me suis rendu à Brighton au mois de juillet. Les années passent et mes 16 ans sont désormais loin… Plus de 10 ans après, j'y suis retourné au mois de mars. A cette période les baignades et les soirées sur la plage sont plus difficiles mais pas impossibles ! Et puis la station balnéaire a bien plus à proposer. Le long de la plage de galets, de nombreux bars et boites de nuit, des galeries d’art et le musée de la pêche. Dès que l’été arrive, les Londoniens affluent pour passer le week-end au bord de la mer… La ville de Brighton, à une heure de train de Londres, est d’ailleurs appelée « London by the sea ».

La ville balnéaire de Brighton est reconnu comme un lieu de repos et de détente depuis des siècles en Angleterre. La plage de Brighton, ses galets et ses mouettes sont tellement agréables en hors saison. Préférez le mois d'octobre ou novembre (si vous n'avez pas peur d'avoir froid), plutot que le mois d'aout ou vous croiserez un bon nombre d'anglais en sandales !

The seaside town of Brighton is recognized as a place of rest and relaxation for centuries in England. Brighton beach, its shingle and seagulls are so nice in the off season. Prefer October or November (if you're not afraid of being cold), rather than the month of August and you'll come across lots of English in sandals!

Beaches that seem like years have not passed, in addition they are stone beaches instead of sand. I love their buildings, restaurants and the dike.

Je y suis allée un soir du 31 décembre et là à partir de 23 h toute la population descend sur la plage avec leur lampions et à minuit lancer de lampions et tout le monde s embrasse pour la nouvelle année.

I went there one evening of December 31 and there from 11 pm the whole population (lol) goes down on the beach with their lanterns and at midnight throw lanterns and everyone kisses for the new year. It was too strong.
