A bridge unique in the world
Inaugurated for the Expo in 2008 in Zaragoza, the Pavilion Bridge was one of the accesses to the site where the international exhibition took place.
The Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid was put in charge of the design. The work cost a total of 35 million euro and met with serious difficulties because of its shape and the unstable river banks of the Ebro, the river upon which the bridge was constructed.
It is a spectacular work of art with narrow supports and a large space in the centre from where there are beautiful views of the river with the biggest flow in Spain. Crossing it gives access to the Expo site where other large structures are preserved such as the Water Tower or the various pavilions which these days are for sale or occupied by various entities.
