Butchers' Bridge

This structure connects the picturesque alley Petkovškovo nabrezje, all along the river Ljubljanica, to the beautiful market. It was designed by Joze Plecnik. On the cross bar you can see several sculptures, reflecting the theme that gives the bridge its name. Nearby is the section of the market that inspired it, full of butchers. As is common in many bridges, young couples have left locks reflecting their love.
