The Underground Cathedral of Imagination

The two white slate towers stand on the straight facade of Brézé Castle. This building with emblazoned walls is one of the most majestic in Pays de la Loire. Its arched passageway connects the two wings of the castle, surrounding a beautiful garden of red roses. The stately and serene image of Brézé Castle is shaken up when you discover that the bottom of the building has catacombs. Brézé has white mother-of-pearl touches on its windows. Its peaked roof gives it an unusual soberness. It has a prestige that is difficult to match ... The wet narrow galleries, where the inhabitants defended and provisioned the Lord's host, are even more visited than the gardens and inside the palace.

In the rush to get a 'small underground city' they founded what is known as the Cathedral of the Imagination. A cave with Paleolithic cave paintings. As you can tell, here you will not get bored. Brézé Castle is a place full of personality, where you can enjoy activities that teach you more about the history that the castle has witnessed.
