The original
Saying Boston, everyone thinks in the United States, but the original, who gave its name to the American one, is English on the east coast of the Lincolnshire region. Apart from the name, the two places don't have much in common: it's small, unknown, very local and above all very English. Boston is a small town near the sea, which was founded around a church and today is one of the centers of the town. Its foundation dates from the seventh century and its name is a contraction of St. Botolph who the main church is dedicated to, and is quite strange and unknown. Religious life has always been very important here, in fact at present over 75% of its inhabitants are Catholic, which is not common in the UK.
