Boquete
The town of Boquete is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains (and volcanoes, as the imposing volcano Baru); With its relatively mild climate and its height above sea level, the cultivation of coffee in the area has been an economic source for the region until very recently when it was replaced recently by ecotourism. Boquete shares with the neighboring country of Costa Rica an ecosystem rich and well-protected, making it something of a mecca for nature tourism in Panama. Its vast areas of interest include National Parks Friendship (shared with Costa Rica) and Volcan Baru, where you can find the picturesque Route Quetzales, which offers the possibility to admire in their environment one of the most mythical birds in the Americas.
