Bondi Beach

This is definitely one of the best beaches I've ever been to...and only a couple miles from downtown Sydney! All of those little black spots you see in the water are surfers trying for one fo the colossal waves. The sand is soft and fine, the sun is radiant, and the oceanside walkway is a great options for those who get a bit restless at the beach.

How do you get there? A.) take a bus from the city center - you catch the bus at the pier where the ferries leave, B.) train and bus - the train leaves you at Bondi Junction and you can get a bus that arrives in about 5 minutes, C.) taxi - it

Bondi Beach is Sydney's most popular beach. Everyday it's full of people and there are surfers from the crack of dawn until nightfall. They're all quite friendly and you can even get a free lesson if you've never been surfing before. There are always extra activities during the weekends, especially in summer. In winter, the local bars are always full and the atmosphere is great.

It's the type of place you can come at any time of day and find a ton of things going on...something unusual for those of us who come from places where the beach is only for tanning and swimming. You can find regular

Beautiful and lively but a little bit over-rated as it's our most famous beach but it's not the best one. Still, a must see. The Bondi to Coogee Walk is an amazing walk.
