Bon Repos Abbey
Legend has it that in a day of hunting, Alain III the Virgin appeared to him and asked him to build an abbey here. Obeying the message, he founded the Abbey of Bon Repos in 1184. Several centuries later, it was sold as national property to the Revolution and remained in ruins until a group of passionate folks brought back to life in 1986. Years later, the Bon-Repos Abbey reopened its doors to the public. Although today all that is left are ruins of the 13th century church, the buildings and the cloister are still intact. Today it hosts contemporary art exhibitions. You can catch great views of the surrounding nature if you take advantage of going up the steps in the abbey.
