Bolzano
Bolzano, (in German, Bozen and Ladin, Balsan) is the capital of the autonomous province of the same name, it is located at the extreme north of the Italian peninsula. A city with an area of 53 sq km, and which, until 1919, belonged to Austria. The population of this city speaks mostly Italian,about 70% or so, and the rest German or Ladin. Bolzano is famous for having the body of Otzi (the Alpine ice man). Otzi is the oldest mummy ever found, he was a resident of the Italian Alp in approximately 3300 BC during the Copper Age, whi ch was found in 1991 by two German tourists in a place 3200 meters above sea level.
