Bodegas Ricla is a real Madrid institution, a place where locals have flocked for over a century to suck down expertly-poured cañas, aperitifs, and simple tapas made by hand by the owner’s mother in their kitchen upstairs. Bodegas Ricla is located on the hyper-touristy Calle Cuchilleros just behind Plaza Mayor and Mercado de San Miguel and is a piece of authentic old Madrid that unfortunately often goes unnoticed by many visitors.
