Antigua Bodega Vasija Secreta

Cafayate Wineries are mostly small, family-run places and most can be visited, where you will receive great service. There is an art museum of wine in the oldest winery, Secret Vessel. They have created an ice wine that you can try in the ice cream parlors of town. During the tour of the winery, they told me the family history and showed me the evolution of technology used to make wine, which in a family business such as this is still very traditional with wooden barrels rather than stainless steel and hand bottling and encapsulating. Then we tasted some of wines from the cellar. My favourite was definitely Torrontés, although that is of French origin.
