Son Sureda Ric

¿No te ha pasado alguna vez que te encuentras en un lugar precioso y piensas cómo sería antiguamente, cuando todo era auténtico? Esa es la sensación que tuve cuando entré en la antigua casa de la finca Son Sureda Ric en Mallorca. Todo estaba exactamente igual que la última vez en que la casa fue reformada en 1828. La primera parte de las edificaciones data del S.XV y lo que más me impresionó fue la pequeña bodega. Es un espacio singular, con una estructura simple y austera pero con muchas historias por contar. Fue construida para guardar vino pero también escondió a personas contrarias al régimen durante la guerra Carlista y, durante un tiempo, fue reconvertida en cisterna, cuando la filoxera destruyó todos los viñedos de la antigua "possessió" mallorquina. El redescrubrimiento del celler por los actuales propietarios fue de lo más cinematográfico: uno de ellos de dejó caer en la oscura cisterna con una barca inchable de niño y una pila frontal de espeleología. No sabía qué encontraría allí abajo. Buscaban la bodega y¡la encontraron!. La capilla también es encantadora. Se celebran 3 misas al año para los vecinos de la zona, tal y como se hacía antiguamente cuando desplazarse caminando o en carro hasta el pueblo más cercano (manacor) no era factible. Entonces, cada domingo las misas se celebraban en la capilla de Son Sureda Ric para todos los vecinos que madrugaban muchísimo para llegar a tiempo. Y, antes de dejar esta finca de auténtico estilo mediterráneo, hay que probar sus vinos tintos. Sólo unas 6000 botellas al año de un exclusivo vino que sabe mucho mejor si lo tomas en su terraza, justo delante de los viñedos. Nosotros, además, pedimos un aperitivo mallorquín que combinó perfecto con el vino. Un sitio para volver, ¡sin duda!.

That's the feeling I had when I went into the old ranch house in Mallorca Son Sureda Ric. Everything was just like the last time when the house was renovated in 1828. The first part of the buildings dates from the fifteenth century and what impressed me most was the small winery. It is a unique space, with a simple and austere structure but with many stories to tell. It was built to store wine but also hid to persons opposed to the regime during the Carlist war and, for a time, was converted into a cistern, when phylloxera destroyed it all the vineyards of the old "possessi" Mallorca. The rediscovery of the cellar by the current owners was the most cinematic, one of them she dropped into the dark pit with a child inflatable boat and a front stack of speleologist. I did not know what you will find down there. Andthe sought winery found !. The chapel is also lovely. Three Masses a year for residents of the area are held, as it was formerly haca when moving walk or drive to the nearest town ms (manacor) was not feasible. So every Sunday Masses were celebrated in the chapel of Son Sureda Ric for all residents that watch muchsimo to arrive on time. And, before leaving this authentic Mediterranean style estate, you have to try their red wines. We, besides, ordered an appetizer that combin Mallorcan perfect with wine. A place to return, no doubt !.
